I am planning to take my camera with me on the night and get various people to take shots throughout the evening.
Should be an interesting evening.

Exhibition in Kennington
Hi I have started putting the pictures in the gallery. Did some yesterday and hopefully finish today? As the frames are hung on wires they are fiddly and time consuming in making adjustments. Getting the images to work together with the large A1 doesn’t help. I am sure it will be alright on the nigh...

Big Thank You
The last six months have been very frustrating for me in learning and applying the basics of photography. No doubt I have asked plenty of silly questions which now seem so obvious and making a fool of yourself is all part of the learning process someone said. :) I would like to say a big thank you t...

Re: Nikon 18/300 DX / VR - Lens soft
Yes some good has come out of this experience. It’s given me an idea to experiment with a slight soft focus look with street photography rather than add it later when processing the image.

Re: Street Photography
This shot has been taken again as the one above was a little soft on focus. It seems one of my fingers was resting on the micro focus of the 18/300 lens causing focus problems in the way I was holding the camera when shooting. Interesting how easy it is to get into bad habits without even realising ...

Re: Nikon 18/300 DX / VR - Lens soft
It’s taken a while to find out what I was doing wrong when working with this lens. The others 35 & 50mm are as sharp as can be, so nothing wrong with them or the camera body. I did pop over to fixation in Kennington and asked them to have a look and give it a clean. It came back with a clean bil...

Re: Peak District weekend in autumn
Hi Paul.
Can you add me to the list please? I may decide to make it a longer stay in the Lake District and explore the area depending on the weather?

Re: Web Hosting Sites for Photography
It seems this thread has weaved in so many different directions since its start. :) I have found a smaller photography hosting site. It may not have the bells and whistles of the larger SmugMug and like and nor does it have their restrictions on content. https://www.portfoliobox.net/ I have got few ...

Re: Fashion Shoot
I suppose there isn’t a simple solution. Good quality point and shoot is all I want without using flash. I am going to have two bodies at some stage, one with a fixed lens and other with a zoom , I don’t want to be lugging around a third heavy body camera in a studio setting as well. Something handy...
