Glastonbury Tor

Glastonbury Tor was one of the locations which the club visited during the recent trip to Bristol. We were there towards the end of the day whereas it is usually at its best when there is a morning mist. Amateur Photographer has published a useful location guide should anyone be in the area when conditions are more suitable for an atmospheric shot.

The lighting conditions weren't great when we were there. This will be surely one to visit again in future

Amateur Photographer is building up a useful library of promising locations and I have been adding links to the forum as they come up. It is always worth doing a search on its website to see if there is anything relevant when visiting a new area.

As to the light when we were there, I said at the time it was more of a recce than a formal shoot. At best, a quick snap to make a record shot of any suitable viewpoints for future reference was all that was needed. I do agree that it is worth going back when conditions are more promising.
