If sharpness in a lens is the only criterion by which you assess its performance, the article on LensRental by Roger Cicala might be of interest. Me? I simply enjoyed the humour. Except for a few specialist applications, nobody really needs a lens which is capable of meeting the demands of a 200MP sensor. Want is an entirely different matter, of course. The quote "Assumptions are the dark matter of the internet; we can’t see them, but we know they account for most of the mass." neatly sums up the level of debate seen on some lesser forums elsewhere. Not this one, naturally.
