"Sharpness is a bourgeois concept" - Henri Cartier-Bresson.

I have seen photographs dating back 150 years which are acceptably sharp. Using equipment which would be considered crude by today's standards, the Victorians still managed it. Judges are the ultimate pixel peepers, sticking their noses right into a print when they are seeking reasons to dismiss an image to which they have taken a dislike and cannot think of any other reason to mark it down.

Here are the first MTF charts I have seen for the Otus 85 alongside a comparison with the now totally useless ZE 85 which is no good whatsoever to any self respecting pixel peeper. :P

Mind you, at 2.5 pounds, that new lens sure is a monster.
