Ming Thein - Singapore - Colour

Postby Mike Farley » Thu 06 Nov 2014, 07:57

Well, you know what to expect from him by now, quantity vs. quality, but a subject which is of interest. He also posted another set from London which I did not bother linking to, but you can easily find it if you really want to see it.

A lack of definition around the existence and purpose of Corporate Man

Ugly front bokeh and a wise-sounding expression does not excuse a rubbish photo

More of the same for all shots, again unimpressive, with the except of the final two. Shock & surprise is good because it's caught a warming human emotion (but the cropping & framing are poor and it feels a bit oversharpened?).

"... Is usually preceded by cunning" should be "are usually" but we can forgive that because he's caught another expression here. Black & white would have been better though and again the framing isn't as good as it could be.

The rest aren't doing anything for me though. Some of them look to have been sniped with a telephoto judging from how flat they are too.

But the amount of ugly front bokeh in those shots... :?
