Most Expensive Photography Accessory

Postby Mike Farley » Thu 24 Sep 2015, 09:01

While I was on my photography course in Scotland last week, Joe Cornish was driving us around in his diesel powered Volkswagen California minibus, which is an amazingly versatile and impressive vehicle*. Apart from accomodating seven people plus luggage and enormous amounts of camera gear, the two seats in the middle swivel and the seating can be converted to form a bed. The roof raises to create another sleeping area, there is an awning at the side which extends* and a table and two chairs are stowed in the tailgate.

I asked Joe if it was the most expensive photographic accessory he owned. He said no, that would be a Phase One back.

* Of course, that was last week when we all thought that Volkswagen was the greatest manufacturer of motor vehicles on the planet. Now we know that even Volkswagen is not as reliable as a Volkswagen.

** Only when stationary, naturally. ;)
