This article will probably disappear behind the Luminous Landscape paywall over the next day or two, so head over there while you can. I cannot disagree with the sentiment that family outings and serious photography rarely go hand, but was taken aback at how so many otherwise potentially good shots were ruined by the overblown colours.

Incidentally, Luminous Landscape seems to have lost something since the move to the subscription model and there are fewer articles these days which I am interested in reading.

I managed to get access on my phone, albeit only once - seems like you can read something once from a device then the next attempt (even a page refresh) brings the wall crashing down!

The images looked like HDR to me. Very high selective clarity & vibrance boosts could have replicated it too but they looked HDR-ey.

To be honest it must be an artefact from living out here, they didn't look THAT bad

The article is now paywalled and what you should see is an overlay prompting you to subscribe to read the full article. Turning the overlay off allows the images still to be visible, but the text is obscured. It does not make sense simply to respond with an error. Unless they have it in for those who live in Singapore.

There seem to fewer opinion pieces and more video interviews which are not that interesting or insightful. I also like Michael Reichmann's views on the latest cameras as he gives a user perspective, but there has been none of those recently. In fact, he has not contributed that much recently and it seems to be mostly Kevin Raber creating the input. The last week has been particularly poor with two articles promoting their very expensive photography workshops.
