Made Me Smile

The opening sentence in this report by Amateur Photographer caused me to chuckle.

"For the first time in its 45-year history the Nikon Photo Contest will accept entries captured on smartphones across all the competition's still image and video categories."

It makes it seem as though Nikon has been willfully ignoring smartphones for the entire period of the competition's existence whereas in reality the first camera phone only became available in 2000 and been mainstream for around 10 years.
