Epiphany?

The other week I spent a very enjoyable week in Dorset and took both my Canon DSLR and m43 systems with me. The Canon gear certainly came out and and about with me, being in the back of the car at all times. Yes, at all times. The car was where it stayed and most of my shooting was on m43. When it came to a straight choice between weight and a system with mainly consumer level lenses, weight lost out every time. Apart from a few shots on a fixed lens compact I am trying out, everything else was on the m43 kit. Until ongoing computer problems intervened, all the shots I posted from the holiday in my POTD series were taken on m43.*
This has lead me to think whether I should abandon my DSLR altogether, but the time does not seem to be quite right for that just yet. None of the mirrorless systems have yet convinced me that they would meet 100% of my needs. As things stand presently, m43 comes closest, but good quality telephoto lenses are lacking and I remain unconvinced about continuous AF and tracking capabilities. So the Canon stays. For now.
* Once my computer is fully restored to working order, I will resume going through my shots from the holiday and will post anything which I think is of interest. An unexpected snag during the rebuild means that this will be a few days yet.
