It seems that manufacturers are announcing more higher priced products than budget ones. While shipments are down, revenues are correspondlingly higher on the reduced volumes, according to this report. In other words, there are fewer sales, but the average value of each sale is higher than in 2013. The only exception is mirrorless where there has been growth in both volumes and revenue. That's not good news for Canon or Nikon to be in a declining market.
