The death of Jane Bown, who was a top portrait photographer for many decades, was announced yesterday.

The Online Photographer has a tribute, including a link to a short news item from Channel 4 earlier this year. It's worth a look as it shows some of her better known images.

The folk at Amateur Photographer appear to be asleep. I would have thought there would be some mention on its website of such a prominent UK photographer by now, but nothing so far ........
