There are a lot of things about Leica which do not add up. One example is the three months turnaround time if the camera has to go back to Germany for service. There is a repair facility in the UK, but that is very limited in its capability which means that a trip back to the factory is usually necessary if something goes wrong. The M and S series are sold as professional cameras, but the M mostly goes to enthusiasts. I cannot see someone who depends on their camera for their livelihood tolerating that level of service. A free cup of coffee hardly compensates.
