And Now It's Canon's Turn

LensRentals is reporting issues with some sensors in Canon's new 750D and 760D models, which had marks on the sensor which could not be removed by cleaning. Not all the cameras received by the company were affected, but a total of six have been sent back which suggests QC issues rather than a defect in the sensor design. Until Canon responds, we will not know the exact cause and it might just be a faulty batch of sensors. The report's author, Roger Cicala, points out that the spots can be difficult to see and are best detected when viewed with angled light. Although it is a rare slip, I am not convinced that really exonerates Canon, even if it is pusuing the matter "aggressively".
