In what is becoming an all too regular occurrence, there is a second service advisory for the D750. It seems that this is not related to the earlier problem, although some cameras appear to suffer from both. Unlucky for some, eh?

Mine isn't affected by this latest issue, although apparently it's affected by the previous one. (I've never noticed it. Will have to decide if the risk/inconvenience of sending it for repair is worthwhile.)
One issue I have found is with image playback - it can be very sluggish and sometimes not display images (was worried the card had corrupted the first time it occurred). There's a new firmware available which has "camera operation is now more reliable" as the change - very vague, but hopefully that fixes this.

You are not the only one to be puzzled by Nikon's cryptic explanation for the firmware update, as Thom Hogan attests -

You would have thought that Nikon would have learnt its lesson after the way it mishandled the D600 oil on sensor problem, which only added to its problems. It seems that secrecy is endemic within the company's culture and it just cannot help itself. I am not sure that is the best strategy in a shrinking market and the Internet means that any issues become highlighted within a very short period.
