Tokina 24-70

As there has been some interest in 24-70 lenses around here lately, I thought I would post this link to Roger Cicala's latest article. The Tokina sems to be slightly sharper than the Tamron equivalent in some circumstances, but the bottom line is that the value proposition of the Tamron remains unchanged.

Aaargh... just after I've bought the Tamron of course ! LOL
The best lens always seems to be the one you haven't got... :lol: :lol:

If you read the conclusion, the opinion is that the Tamron is better overall than the the Tokina, especially as the former has vibration control. There is not much use haviving a sharp lens if the result is blurred due to movement. ;)

Based on what it has been doing recently, Sigma's fortbcoming new lens might be the game changer.
