Interview With Sigma CEO

Sigma is on something of a roll at present and has brought out a number of well received lenses. It might be coincidence, but this has occurred since the current CEO took over following the death of his father who founded the company. Ming Thein interviewed him recently and has reported the encounter on his blog. In the way that it is organised, Sigma is not a typical Japanese company and many of the traditional hierarchies do not exist there. Aside from lenses, Sigma also manufactures cameras based on the Foveon sensor and although they have never become mainstream, Sigma is continuing with development.
