Due to insufficient evidence, Olympus will face no action in the UK in respect of its acquisition of the UK based Gyrus Group which triggered the accounting scandal in Japan. If the Americans can find a US connection, I doubt that their authorities would act similarly. They do seem to take financial irregularities very seriously on the other side of the pond.
