Mirrorless AF and Shutter Shock

I have never made it a secret of wanting to reduce the weight of my camera gear by switching to a mirrorless system, but have yet to find one which would allow me to move completely away from my DSLR*. This review by Imaging Resource of the new Olympus m43 300 f/4 lens has some useful pointers about a couple of issues which can arise, AF speed and shutter shock. Hopefully Imaging Resource will consider both when it tests the new Fuji 100-400 lens, which will give me a better indication about how Olympus and Fuji are progressing. At this point, the gaps appear to be closing but I have yet to be convinced that either has all the answers.

* The result is that I have ended up with a situation where I have DSLR kit which covers all my needs and a couple of partial systems comprising mainly low cost components for when I do not want to carry a DSLR, which is most of the time. The sooner I feel able to rationalise my gear, the better.
