Rather than congratulate their neighbours on their good fortune, the owners of the horse took the opposite approach. As the picture was taken on public land and not even people own the right to their image, I would be surprised if their case has any merit.

Maybe the owners of the horse have had a change of heart when they saw the reaction to their initial curmudgeonly comments. The reports I read suggested that they were being serious rather than humorous, although Thomson must be pleased with all the extra publicity the story has generated. It has allowed the opportunity for an awful pun, though ........
