Some stats from PetaPixel showing which cameras were used to take the winning photos in the World Press Photo 2016 awards. As you would expect, most were taken either with Canon or Nikon as they are the brands used by most pros. A bit more surprising was that the Canon 5D MkIII was the most commonly used camera, rather than the more rugged (and heavier/bigger) 1DX
