I know I have (nearly 
) done this. It reminds me of a story told to me by pro photographer Mark Bauer. After he had been working on an image, he was about to bin it when his partner walked in and commented on how good it looked. He kept it and it went on to be his best seller. It's always an idea to leave a shot for a while before making any final decisions.
