Adobe Camera Raw Issue

I have just seen this on DPReview's website where they report that when testing the Pentax K-1's pixel shift function, they have found some issues with artefacts and colour shifts being generated by Adobe Camera Raw. Unfortunately I did not read the original article, which has now been withdrawn pending further testing, so do not know exactly what they encountered. DPReview is now evaluating its test images with other Raw converters which apparently do not have the same problems and an update is promised once this work has been completed.

DPReview's initial statement was a little confused as to the problems they had found, but It turns out that the issue relates only to the Pentax K-1's Motion Correction feature. That is supposed to identify any movement which occurs after the first frame is taken when using the camera's Pixel Shift Resolution mode. When shooting Raw, this requires support from the Raw conversion application, which ACR does not have. Adobe says that its support for the K-1 in the current version of ACR is final, but that does not rule out the function being added at a later date.
