Lithium Ion Is a Dangerous Substance

Just ask Samsung, which is facing a substantial loss due to batteries exploding in its new Galaxy Note 7. If a major manufacturer can get it so disastrously wrong, what chance do third party manufacturers have? Those own brand batteries from the camera makers do not seem so expensive after all.

I have only ever bought one third party battery and stopped using it when I discovered that it was getting hot.
