Sony Bests Nikon

Postby Mike Farley » Sat 15 Apr 2017, 08:31

Sony full frame cameras outsell the equivalent Nikon models in the US.

There are a couple of possible reasons. Nikon's recent manufacturing problems and cost cutting which has seen support reduced in the US might finally have caught up with the company. Thom Hogan appears to be in hibernation at present, but no doubt will have plenty to say when he wakes up.

Thom Hogan has just released his thoughts. It seems that there are reasons why Sony's claims should not be taken too seriously. A short timeframe and sales classed by value rather than units sold being a couple. What happens longer term and outside of the US will be more relevant.
