So Google have finally decided what they are doing with the software collection.
Looks like it will be going to a good home.

There is a bit of activity going on with DxO at the moment and simultaneous with the announcement that it had acquired the Nik collection from Google was another stating it had already adapted the U-point technology into Photolab, its new Raw processing software.
