You're in The Lounge already - the description of General is "general discussion and anything that isn't covered by the other categories" - nothing in the rules prohibits non-photography subjects.

So if anyone want to have conversations on whatever else interests them, start a topic and if others are interested they'll join in.

If there ends up being lots of such conversations, we can split them out to a separate section, but no point adding one when it might only be an occasional occurrence.
