Caje Moniz is looking to buy pre-cut 40x50cm mounts with window, possibly 12x8 inches or 12x9 inches for the Exhibition.
This was discussed at the club a couple of weeks ago but I did not take any notes as I cut my own.
Also, where does one get the Photo Frames suitable for the Exhibition?

I have bought from Paper Spectrum in the past and they offer a good quality product. I posted some information a while back, although the discount offer has long expired. Maybe if there is enough interest, we might be able to generate a sufficiently large order to get something off. At the very least, it would be possible to share an order so that there is only one delivery charge. It will be down to someone else to organise as I have sufficient for my own needs.

To summarise for ease of finding the products:

Should work with prints that are 12 x 8 and 12 X 9 inches too ( 20.32 cm, x 30.48 cm, 22.86 x 30.48 cm) as long as important parts of the image do not go all the way to the edge of the print. One looses between 1 and 2 cm of image all round behind the mount.
Other companies might offer windows that are cut to personal requirements. See ebay?

IKEA does have RIBBA Black Print Frames, £7, 40 x 50 cm
It does come with mounting board to take image 40 x 30 cm, that needs to be replaced for smaller prints.

Hullo, why not organise your images to the size of the windows and order them from spectrum giving a little area around the image to look good.
That should do the trick

To alert new members wanting to partake in the Print competitions, one could buy pre-cut mounting card at a competitive price (£1.20 each) delivered to your door (£4.96) which is easy to handle and store.
You would have to cut the window yourself. You need backing board too.

Or you could buy the card with precut A4 windows for £2.50 each.

In the past, I have regularly organised a bulk purchase from Wessex Pictures to take advantage of the discounts the company offers for volume as well as getting free delivery for orders in excess of £75 ex VAT. Prices are a bit better than Paper Spectrum but the board only comes in A0 sheets which have to be cut to size. Details of the last order are at the link below.

If there is sufficient interest, there is nothing to stop members getting together to make a combined order. Paper Spectrum might be persuaded to offer a discount for volume. Wessex Pictures is a wholesaler and orders need to be placed through one of our members who has an account with them.
