Chargeable Firmware Update

A feature of some manufacturers is that as soon as they launch a new product, they have zero interest in purchasers who bought the previous one. Cynically perhaps, they reason that there is little to be gained in improving older devices. It costs money for which there will be little financial return and potentially impacts new sales. So in some ways PocketWizard releasing new firmware for its older offerings is good news, even if charging $9.99 per device is not. Especially given the initial cost of PocketWizard's' radio triggers in the first instance.
