Jessops faces closure for the second time. Apparently, it is has never been profitable since Peter Jones resurrected the company in 2013. Further details from Digital Camera World:

For a long time, I avoided Jessops. Shortly before its first failure I was given a gift card which I never got the opportunity to use. As an unsecured creditor, I did not even bother to submit a claim to the administrators. The return, if any, would have been pennies in the pound. The loss, albeit relatively small, rankled. When I did eventually go into a store, the staff did not exactly impress with their knowledge. Much like the old Jessops in fact. I tried again recently and had a better experience, although Park Cameras which was nearby had a better deal for the camera in which I was interested. In the end, I did not purchase it, but that is a different story.
