Thanks for the heads up, Andy. She made a number of good points about her approach to photography. I definitely concur with just going out with an open mind and not getting hung up with getting a portfolio shot. In my experience, the good shots occur when they are ready and most likely when you least expect them.
I also agree that reviewing images after some time has elapsed is worthwhile. Not that I have the willpower, nor the organisation to keep track of the memory cards, to wait before loading my images onto the computer. I only delete obvious duds immediately and make a point of regularly reviewing past efforts. One of my most successful shots came from a session which I did not think much of at the time and I only discovered it eight years after it was taken.
