My copy arrived last Tuesday (the day after the bank holiday as there is currently no Saturday postal delivery). I have only just got around to looking at it.

I thought you had cancelled your subscription?

No, that was me!

I received three copies before AP sent me a letter that they'd cancelled the subscription. I got there first by cancelling my Direct Debit before they started charging me £24.99.

AP 30 May issue arrived this afternoon.
Some how, annoyingly, I overlooked APOY 3, Up Close & Personal!

Hmm. Hardly good customer relations, having advertised six issues for £6. You might have changed your mind after receiving the other issues. I guess things are hard in the magazine world, especially at the moment.

Apologies to Iggy for the mix-up.

With the 6 issues of AP received, I only had time to have cursory looks at each of them.
I enjoyed putting in an image into APOY courtesy of David B, but missed the Close-up comp because I had not looked at the relevant copy for details.
Next entry, Keep on Moving - Sports & Action, is due by 26 June. I have just remembered an image that I could enter! Just have to find it now.
I will keep the AP subscription going for now, but need to make an effort to read them.

Aquarium Fish Adventures books have been taking a lot of time to compile.
The second one since Covid lockdown arrived today. Happy with it.
I am working on number 4 at the moment, but might have at least a week's break then.

My APOY City Life entry was “What’s Cooking” that was also used in our friendly competition with Malta.
Photocrowd placed it in their top 10% and it came it at 38th.

AP judges results still to come.

I have entered "the duck" in this month’s Nature APOY round.
It will be interesting to see how that does.

That is a good result, Iggy. Congratulations.

It seems that AP liked the shot better than either of the judges for the Malta contest. In my experience, that is not unusual and the magazine's judges often seem to go for images which would not necessarily do well in club competition. Personally, I thought that the image had atmosphere and was a bit different. I enjoyed it, but then what do I know?
