GDPR Ruling re Images of Minors

I found this on DPReview and it has some potentially worrying implications. It concerns a grandmother in the Netherlands who posted images of her grandchildren on social media and refused to remove them when requested to do so by the children's mother. Quite how the relationship between the two had broken down to the extent that the courts were called on to intervene is not the real issue here. Any reasonable person will have acceded to the request to delete the images. Sadly, relationships do not always work like that. What does concern me is that while there are some aspects of Dutch law which appear to differ from the UK's, our GDPR legislation is based on the same EU directive. Could a similar situation arise here restricting the type of photographs which we post if the UK courts take a similar view?
