For a while now I have been considering a day out in Rye and it would make a suitable venue for a club outing. There is an arts festival running between 11 - 25 September, which could be a good reason either to go then or alternatively avoid those those two weeks, dpending on your disposition. If there is sufficient interest, I am happy to organise something. All you have to do is respond to this thread stating whether you you would prefer a weekday or weekend and any preferred dates.

Re: Rye, Anyone?
I have just returned from a week in Camber and visited Rye during that time. I can thoroughly recommend a visit, it has numerous historical buildings and there was plenty of photo potential. With a young family in tow this meant I couldnt take advantage but I suggest others do! We left prior to the festival starting so cannot comment on that aspect.

Hi Mike,
If it's at a weekend you can count me in.

Hi Mike,
I am interested in a day trip to Rye.
Too late for the Art Festival that ends today!
Any day, preferably sunny is ok for me usually.
I haven't been to the Outings & Events page for a couple of months now (like many others??) which is why I have not seen it.
Would have liked to go on the open day in London last weekend if I had know about it.
Best wishes,
Iggy

Iggy, go to the very bottom of the Outings & Events page (e.g. press End key on keyboard) and look in the left-hand corner.
There is a "Subscribe forum" option there - click it and you will be notified when new topics are posted.

Thanks Peter.
I am now subscribed for notifications on the whole of "General Forum" as well.
This morning though, I was given the option to individually select "Rye, Anyone?" for notification and not the whole of Outings & Events, but that facility is not currently visible to me. I did receive a notification of your posting as a result of my individual selection.
OK found it under the spanner.
Have a great weekend,
Iggy
