Photography discussion panel meeting at The Royal Society

Postby GrahamL » Fri 30 Oct 2015, 10:51

For those into nature/science photography The Royal Society is hosting a free event on Thursday, 26th November in conjunction with announcement of the winners of their inaugural Photography Competition (Scientific photography).

Sophie Stafford, wildlife magazine editor and photography expert, will chair the panel comprising photographers David Maitland and Neil Aldridge, and ecologist Claire Spottiswoode. The speakers will discuss their experience of capturing nature and the importance of images in communicating science to researchers and the general public

You don't need to book as seats are allocated on first come first served basis (the hall holds 80). Doors open at 6.30 pm and is situated at 6-9 Carlton House Terrace SW1Y 5AG, just off Pall Mall.

See https://royalsociety.org/events/2015/11/life-through-a-lens/ for more detail.

Cheers,

Graham

Thanks Graham.
I will hopefully go to that event.
I met Sophie at the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Media event a couple of weeks ago and had a long chat with her.
She has not been editor of the wildlife magazine for more than two years now.
Are you going?
Iggy
