By chance, when I was looking for something else on Pete Bridgwood's website, I came across this short article he had written about shooting in the Peak District at around the time we plan to go. For those who do not know, the author writes a monthly column for Outdoor Photography.

Hi Paul.

Can you add me to the list please? I may decide to make it a longer stay in the Lake District and explore the area depending on the weather?

OK here is a summary so far of who would like to go:

myself
Mike & wife
Tina & Hub
Keith
Graham Cluer (possible)
Tom Sherrin
Wally & Hillary
Jay

That makes 8 rooms so far. I have just spoken to the Yorkshire Bridge Inn who confirm that of the 14 rooms, none are currently booked. I have therefore provisionally book 10 rooms (she was happy to book more than we currently need rather than see people not come along), consisting of 6 singles and 4 double/twins. The cost (which relates to a group booking) are £76 per room per night for double/twin and £60 for single occupancy. These are the same prices for each of the 3 nights. Ive explained that I will need to firm up numbers and they understanding in this respect. To actually book the rooms costs £25 per person (not per room) which is confusing but there is no cancellation charge as long as we give a few weeks notice before November.

If anyone has any questions please let me know and I will give them another call.

Hi Paul,

Well done in provisionally booking the rooms etc. The posted details should help everyone. Can you confirm when you would like the deposits by?

Regards,

Tom

Im happy to pay for the deposits for now, bearing in mind there will be changes in the months ahead if people decide to cancel, or equally others take their spot. As of today total deposit including Nina it would amount to 12 people x £25 = £300. Will be at club tonight to discuss further if needed.
