Notice Received from Carshalton Camera Club re 27th October

With my e-mail of 27th August, I sent you our programme of guest speakers for September to December 2012. As a reminder, I show below the details of our speakers for the next week, both of whom should offer an interesting and stimulating presentation. You and members and friends of your club are cordially invited to attend.

Monday 29th October 2012

Glyn Edmunds ABIPP., AMPA., ARPS., DPAGB., EFIAP/s., EPSA is giving a colour slide talk entitled “Just Velvia”. A slide presentation is now a rarity and as the title suggests this one is dedicated to the use of Fuji Velvia material.

Glyn, who was born in Sutton and spent the first 24 years of his life in Carshalton Beeches, is a member of Chichester Camera Club, is Vice-President of the Southern Photographic Federation and is Chairman of the Southampton International Exhibition. He is a prolific and highly successful photographer, being awarded the EPSA (Excellence by the Photographic Society of America) for more than 700 acceptances in exhibitions.

Glyn featured in an article on Competitions in a photo magazine at the beginning of 2012, in which his concluding words were: “….Never enter a picture thinking “oh, that will do”. It won’t.”

This event will be held at:

The Ruskin Hall, Carshalton Methodist Church, Ruskin Road, Carshalton, SM5 3DE

At 7.30pm for 8.00pm start. Evening closes at approx. 10.00pm (refreshment break at around 9.00pm).

Members of clubs and their friends are very welcome to join us at either or both of the above events. It is not essential, but it would be appreciated if any member wishing to attend would please let us know in advance.
