Morning mist

Postby Rose » Sat 26 Nov 2016, 17:28

We have some stunning views from our house in Somerset... I took these from our lounge window last week. (Albeit at 300mm and the second one is cropped a little). The early morning mist was rolling in from Glastonbury through a gap in the hills. The houses you can see are in the village of Wookey.

That's quite some view, Rose, to have quite literally on your doorstep.

Have you thought about finding some other locations nearby to capture the early morning mist? The right place can be very atmospheric.

Yes, I'm waiting for some clear, cold winter mornings, which is when I'm told it's at its best. If I can drag myself out of bed early enough (not something I do much now I'm retired !) there are some great locations closeby where I can get a good view over the Levels.

At least that is not so bad during the middle of winter. It would be even more convenient if we did not put the clocks back at the end of each October.
