PAD 34 - Cycling

Postby Mike Farley » Tue 05 Feb 2013, 11:10

Day 34 and another dull and uneventful day. Getting my daily shot was proving a bit frustrating until I went into the centre of Cambridge just before it got too dark and managed to get this shot of a passing cyclist.

Panasonic DMC-G3
Lumix G Vario 14-45
Focal length 21 mm (42 mm @ 35 mm equivalent)
1/50 sec
f/6.3

It's nice, and good performance at iso800 too. Did you wait at that spot with the road forming the diagonals long? :)

I was there for a few minutes and there were cyclists going past every few seconds. This is the shot which turned out best.

Although it has quite a small sensor, the G3 performs well at higher ISOs and Lightroom's noise reduction algorithm when processing Raw files is very effective, I find.
