Lone Tree At Malham

A lone tree growing in the limestone pavement at Malham. This is the second time that I have attempted to photograph this ash tree. Previously, I had misunderstood the directions and went into the wrong field. Although I could see it, there was no way to reach its location and then the onset of heavy rain meant that the venture had to be abandoned. On this occasion, I visited shortly before sunset and was rewarded with some glorious light. This image is a merger of two captures, with one exposed for the sky and the other for the limestone pavement.
