A visit to The Sculpture Park near Farnham, Surrey was something of a disappointment. I had been hoping for something like Sculpture by the Lakes which those who were on the club's trip to Dorset will recall. There really is no comparison between the two although in part that is due to the physical differences in their locations. It does not help that the route The Sculpture Park recommends to visitors is a bit confusing and takes in a lot of areas which not have much to offer visually. The walk also takes a long time which meant I had lost interest before reaching the end. The highlight of the visit for me were these magnificent tall trees which which neatly caught the sun's rays. In a rare moment of inspiration, those responsible for placing the sculptures had put a figure looking up at the tree tops.
