3. Sleepwalking Singaporean Shorthair

Postby davidc » Thu 03 Jul 2014, 08:53

I'm not a huge fan of cats but this chap likes sleeping in the sunshine on a local petrol station forecourt. Absolutely uncaring (or unaware) of my presence when he abruptly stood up, still asleep, he gave me a bit of a fright!

I liked the fact he's posed in front of a background that's almost the Singapore flag. I'm even tempted to photoshop in the moon & stars :)

I was thinking that the Singaporeans could be inspired to change their standard to include a cat rather than the moon and stars once they see the brilliance of your latest oeuvre. ;)

4. Need For Speed

Postby davidc » Mon 07 Jul 2014, 01:49

Desperation from the back of a moving cab after drinks...

I should probably have taken a photo of the tropical beach bar I was at but the beers were more fun :)

6. The Importance of Perspective

Postby davidc » Mon 07 Jul 2014, 01:52

Even when a million and one things are going wrong and you feel like you'll never turn the corner it's important to keep things in perspective.

I've shot more cats in the first 6 days of this project than I did in the whole of last year.

This shot reminds me of something but I can't remember what. A friend has suggested it's the TFL "Don't let your friendship die on the road" tube posters perhaps.

7. Strut

I like it. B&W works well. I might have trimmed a little off the left (say half way to the first step).

Thanks :) I tried a bit of a left crop but wanted to keep the bird on a third. I've already cropped out a large lightning rod on the right too :)
