There are probably a few matches on our respective idea lists. You can go for the paperclip idea anytime :) Have you got refractography on your list? Looks quite interesting - http://vimeo.com/61998183

Will have to leave this a good few months so I don't look like I'm copying though!

Lol I did it last night and I'm uploading some results today :)
Some interesting effects but I think to get truly gorgeous results I'd need more time/practice. And I was mildly paranoid about getting my sensor mucky!

Week 14/52

Experimented with double exposure portraits this week and had alot of fun. Finding a suitable background is the harder part. Got myself and wife on a chair in the garden for the portrait part, ensuring uncluttered background and +1 exposure compensation for blown out background. The Photoshop work is fairly easy, I used this tut as a guide http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blo ... -exposures and added various Levels adjustment layers to fine tune it.

Saw this on Flickr, good work - particularly the effect you've achieved with your wife - that's the kind if effect I was planning on :)

Might have to have a proper go at this like yours later in the year!

Decided to go for the water splash shot this week. Disposable food tray was used and also some books to keep the background (a colourful magazine) upright. Then used my Canon 430ex on manual at 1/8 power to light the page from the right. This also caused a slight blowout which I found I couldnt avoid. Despite prefocusing I still wasnt 100% accurate, very hard to gauge reveiwing it from the LCD, even when zoomed in.

Have just spent 10 days in the Scottish Highlands and have returned with great memories and plenty of great images. Trying to avoid a landscape I have gone for a vintage postcard effect on The Jacobite steam train running from Fort William to Mallaig.

I wanted at least one good sunrise during my 10 days in Scotland and was lucky to get this one.

Alarm was set each day for 3.50am! Scrambled out of our campervan, dashed across a golf course to reach Brora beach. Had spotted this fence leading down to the beach the day before and used it as foreground interest, along with the sand dune grass. Took many shots and came away happy and then went back to bed!

As you may have guessed Im a complete sucker for sunrise & sunset shots so cannot guarantee they wont feature further along this project ;)

The fence provides a great lead in line. Well done on having the willpower to get up so early each morning.
