This was from another trip to the National Park where I got an awful lot closer to the monkeys than last time. Which was occasionally a problem because in expecting a distance between us I took the 550d and the 150-600mm lens! Expect more monkeys.

Are you sure that this is not a monkey selfie? If it is, the critter could have a case against you for breach of copyright. ;)

Hi Dave
Having been to Singapore I am enjoying seeing your shots, a nice reminder of enjoyable times. We stayed by the riverfront close to Riverside point. Very nice at night,
if you have not been to the night light show near what I call the boat hotel it is worth a look.
Look forward to more shots and keep the good work up

30. Micro Frog

This tiny little thing hopped onto my foot then into my hand.

His big brothers and sisters are the one which cause an absolute racket just before & just after it rains.

31. Changeable Lizard

Considering most of the lizards we see are tiny geckos, this guy ambled around us as we were sitting beside the pool - he looked like something out of Walking With Dinosaurs by comparison :)

A pair of these were athletically hanging upside down feeding from this plant. It took a little while to get close enough for them to accept me being there and not fly away immediately!

This is a male, you can tell from the coloured throat.

33. Angkor Sunset

Postby davidc » Tue 14 Oct 2014, 03:02

Back from a reasonably busy period, including a short visit to Cambodia to Siem Reap & visiting the temple complex at Angkor. I'm still going through the shots (I took 1700 or so in 3 days) but I've managed to get a few finished.

Although Cambodia was fantastic, overall I'm disappointed that I didn't get more photos I really love from the trip.

This is a sunset from the top of a temple, atop a hill overlooking Angkor Wat.

34. Monks

Postby davidc » Tue 14 Oct 2014, 03:03

Even I am not immune to the cliché of photographing the brightly dressed monks in the ruins of temples. Annoyingly, I had a front-on shot of them but it was too blurry so here's a "lazy street photography" shot, Cambodia-style!

35. The Laughing God

Postby davidc » Tue 14 Oct 2014, 03:05

This one is a happy coincidence. I was trying to photograph a jumping spider running across the face of this carving and although it dropped into shadow for this shot I am quite pleased with the final result.

More from Cambodia. After touring temples we took a trip to visit a fishing village built on stilts. Most of the time the entire region is flooded and the people get around on small boats. This was taken on our boat ride to the village where villagers were fishing, preparing their equipment etc.

Another from our boat trip to the fishing village.

Any suggestions for a title? I wondered about "Tree Riders" but thought it a bit too twee :)
