POTD 9 March - High Key Hyacinth

When I did my photo a day project in 2013, one of my very first shots was of an anemone given a high key treatment in Lightroom. Those who were at the last monthly print competition might recall seeing the image. Although I took quite a lot of flower shots in the remainder of the year, I did not go back and repeat that particular exercise. As I have not been shooting much lately and it was a dull afternoon, I thought I would give it another try. Last time, I must have experienced beginner's luck as I found it much more difficult to get a good result this time around. One particular problem was getting the white balance correct and I ended up using my Color Checker Passport to set it. After that, it was a question of starting with the settings I had used previously and then experimenting until I got a result I was happy with.
