POTD 17 September 2015 - Dawn Breaks Over Loch Ewe

Another Loch Ewe panorama, this time just before dawn.
This panorama is a stitch of six images taken on a Leica M and wide angle Tri-Elmar set to a focal length of 21, with further processing in Lightroom.

I think this one works better than your other panos as it has a foreground interest, although the foreground is rather dark and without a strong silhouette. Maybe it could do bumping up a little?
When did you get your M240? And if I may ask, why when you already had an M9?

Thanks for the feedback. I was trying to capture the feel of the location, but am not sure I have really succeeded on this occasion. Maybe I'll try reprocessing this shot along the lines you suggest.
I was on a Leica Experience workshop when I took this and we were lent various cameras and lenses*, so it is an assumption that I have updated my own Leica. In this instance, an entirely correct one. Leica does not make large changes to its models, but the switch from a CCD to a CMOS sensor has allowed the introduction of live view which transforms the handling of the camera in some circumstances. In particular, there is an EVF which can be useful on occasion as it helps accurate framing and provides magnification which can assist focussing. I have only just bought one as usually using the camera the traditional way with a rangefinder or hyperfocal focussing works just fine.
* I'll be writing about the equipment which I used during the workshop in due course.

Actually, viewing this on my home laptop and not my phone or work PC, the foreground is much more visible.
I've seen the term bandied around, but what exactly is a Leica Experience workshop?

Thanks for the revision. When I responded, I was seeing the image again on my laptop* and it showed the same attributes you mentioned. The processing was a quick and dirty, but looking at it again on a better monitor I think that it captures what I experienced reasonably well. I don't think that it is a competition image, though.
