City Road

Postby Paul Heester » Wed 30 Dec 2015, 10:00

Took this image a few weeks back but was hoping for some long exposure effect (using my 10 stopper) with clouds drifting across. However, there was a high pressure system over London so not a cloud in sight. This is a new apartment complex called Lexicon on City Road. This area is getting some nice modern architecture and well worth a photo walk if you are into that subject.

Spectacular architecture, as you say, Paul. Is that a straight shot or did you correct the verticals?

Thanks for the location tip.

Hi Paul,

Looks great, even more remarkable you caught a cloudless sky this December. A month of much wet murkiness, maybe January will be better...

I used the straighten tool by running it down the nearest point of the building. The rear edges do converge but I preferred it this way, otherwise if corrected they tend to look like the adverts in the Evening Standard selling these expensive apartments!
