Day 37 and the amaryllis has finally bloomed, producing these elegant stamens. It all happened the day after I took the last shot for PAD 35.

20 seconds is a rather long exposure, what was the lighting situation?

edit: sorry, wasn't implying it was TOO long or anything, was just surprised to see that duration. Hence curiosity about the lighting.

Actually, a very valid question. It was taken on the day of my infrared presentation, when the weather was very dull. I had this shot in mind, but thought I would just finish off getting everything ready for the evening and then take my daily shot. While I was working, I suddenly realised that it was getting late and the light was rapidly fading. As it was taken indoors, I did not have to worry about subject movement, fortunately.
