Hello All

Firstly, a big thankyou to Sarah for posting this idea on the forum. We were also joined by David on the trip and we all managed to enjoy our day out despite the wind and rain. Here are a few from the day including a rather old boat in need of repair named after our Chairman (insert appropriate joke here :D).

Mary Rose in its new setting since 2016. I havent seen it before but thought it was impressive. Plenty of artifacts were found in the wreck which are shown throughout. They also project film onto the different decks giving you a flavour of what happened in each area. The light levels were very low here so steady hands and high ISO were needed.

It was a good day out despite the weather trying to ruin it!

Some of my photography from the day.

The third picture shows the building house Mary Rose taken on board HMS Victory. It's a pair of images stitched by Lightroom.

(Incidentally, Victory is undergoing refurbishment and the masts are, at the moment, only a shadow of their former shelves.)
