I think this is more interesting than a rose in full bloom, it has more "character" if thats the right word. Great sharpness as well.

Wasn't sure where to ask this question so plumped for the latest pic. Mike, what's your favourite January image and favourite February one?

edit: And why?

What? They are all my babies and I love them equally. How can you possibly ask me to choose between them?

Ok then, I'll mention some highlights.

Rails in PAD 9 has a special significance as it was the first day in my project when I went out with no specific shot in mind and really did not know if I would come back with anything at all. It showed me that provided I have a camera, it is possible to produce something, so it was an early vindication of my decision to start the project.

I would also mention Infrared Flower in PAD 27 as to me it seems unusual and the first time I have done any sort of still life photography in infrared. It did not elicit any interest with the 365project crowd, though.

From February, I would probably select Crocuses from PAD 49, which I have only just posted due to an oversight on my part. The flowers are a reminder that winter is finally coming to an end and I also like the way the light plays on the blooms. In some ways it is like a shot of a swan from my LRPS panel, when I took a head shot that was in focus against an out focus area full of swans. It was the one image which received any form of criticism at the assessment as the background was considered to be too confusing. No doubt there are judges who would say much the same about this shot and also miss the point.

Other highlights are Reflection in PAD 50, partly because I have never previously created a picture like that and Faces in PAD 52 because it was not an image I was expecting to get. It is another example of the project allowing me to obtain an image because I now need to carry a camera with me wherever I go.

Interesting, I thought your flower shots would be your favourites.

Top 3 (in no particular order) for me would be

Bubbles on 25th Jan
Broken String on 24th Feb
Daffodil on 27th Feb
