Day 112 and this Snake's Head Fritillary flowered in the garden. Unfortunately the bloom got knocked off, so inside it came to be photographed.

ISO 100

Having nearly caught up with my PAD postings earlier in the week, I am now further behind than ever - a situation which I am hoping to rectify over the next few days.

UPDATE

This week's Amateur Photographer has a useful supplement with a number of software tips, one of which is for making a background completely white. It looked interesting, so I tried it on this image as I have not always been completely satisfied with the off white rendering of some of my previous efforts. After posting on the forum, I added the image to the 365project website which has a white background rather than black as here. Apparently suspended in mid air, the snake's head fritillary looked a bit silly and I immediately realised that the image needed a frame, now added and the image changed.
